Today’s Order Books Are the Tip of the Iceberg
The electric boat market is projected to grow from $8.7 billion in 2026 to $23.6 billion by 2036 — a 10.5% compound annual growth rate, nearly tripling in a decade. Against that, the roughly $200 million in electric foiling vessel orders placed worldwide to date represents about 2% of a single year of the market.
Why that matters here. The order books being filled today belong almost entirely to European builders who cannot legally carry more than 12 passengers between US ports. As this market triples, the American share of it needs American hulls — built, owned, and crewed under the Passenger Vessel Services Act. That is the boat we are building.
