Hatteras Sailing 2025 Impact Presentation part 1
Hatteras Sailing is the non profit maritime educational program chaired by PamliEcoConnect's CEO Jay Phillips. The Sailing Center in Buxton is an important possible node in the Passenger route and the Passenger Service in turn would benefit the Junior Sailing, Maritime Heritage and Educational Programs on site, and make for a very wonderful point of interest for Hatteras Island/Buxton Visitors coming in on the Ferry. The Sailing Center and future Maritime Training Facility are also really timely investment opportunities, but held by different entities. Making the facility part of PamliEcoConnect is not out of the question though.

Welcome to PamliEcoConnect from our Spokesperson Katie
From ground zero at the tip of Cape Hatteras in front of the Buxton Motel, Katie brings you our PamliEcoConnect concept. While our local and state government are responsive, it is usually due to growing outrage that something was not done sooner. We would love to skip the outrage stage and pitch in our hat for a little forethought. 20 plus homes were washed into the Atlantic this past off season and there is little barrier left between the Ocean and HWY 12, which is the connector for Ferry access to Ocracoke and the car ferrys to the mainland through Ocracoke. When, not if, this access is washed out, the current transportation methods will not be sufficient. The current connection routes from the mainland through Ocracoke, to Hatteras take a total of about 6 to 7 hours, in slow season. Getting a head start building high speed, smooth and cost effective passenger services is something that will be a blessing to the local communities and make visitor access to the most remote Islands of Hatteras and Ocracoke much more feasible.

Harbor Town - Tackling skepticism head on...
Albemarle Sound venture Harbortown took in grants for over $15M to fund 2 fast passenger ferry's to connect communities on the Albemarle Sound. While Infrastructure was established with the funding, the boats that were built did not work as desired. Technology at the time of project inception was not quite ready yet, but now it is! The mission is still as valid as ever, just having the right boat design can not be under emphasized.
